Didn’t know how else to phrase it.
Am I the only one that is absolutely repulsed when people serve up their dogs or cats canned food with spoons from their kitchen. As in the type of spoons they eat with. I know it gets washed and I love my pets too but don’t we have to draw the line somewhere, the amount of rubbish that gets churned into pet food would make you feel sick.
Alternatively do you not see a problem with it.

I don’t see an issue. I understand where you’re coming from, pet food is pretty nasty stuff. However, knowing that my dishwasher has hot enough water to sterilize anything that might be on them is enough for it not to bother me. However, I am completely grossed out by people that share their food with their pet. I saw a guy share an ice cream cone with his dog once. That was too much.
Well, they can scoop the muck out with their fingers and lick it off;would that be better for you.
As gross as it seems, anything canned is actually very very clean as the retorting step involved in canning kills all pathogenic bugs. That’s why canned food lasts for so long.
I would have more of a problem using my cutlery to scoop out old food thats been left in the fridge for too long.
i use a spoon in my cat’s food every morning and don’t see a problem with this
course i wouldn’t see a problem with using any kitchen tools/utinsels to fix my toliet, as long as its washed well afterwords.
I keep a stack of cheap paper plates to feed my kitty her cat food from. I use a butter knife to chop it up just the way she likes it and the knife goes in the dishwasher. I see no difference that cutting my own food. Pet food is processed to the same high standard that ours is.
This is why I would never serve anyone pet food. My pets ate the same food as me pretty much.
