I need curtains for the kitchen and curtains for the living room. I got rid of all my furniture, so any furniture ideas would help too. My kitchen has black granite counters like this:

and my cabinets are a litlle bit of a darker shade. Any advice would help, and thank you in advance.

It depends on a few things: a) what furniture you have, b) what size the windows are and c) how much coverage you want/need. You could have different window treatments in each room according to the color scheme in that particular room. I suggest going to the below link and figuring out what you like.

I think that’s a nice color.
As for the walls, what about a tan,creamish color, like this.
