What color should I paint my kitchen wall if I have white cabinets, black flooring, and stainless steel appliances.
I have black granite counter tops, white cabinets, black tile floor, stainless steel appliances, but I somehow cannot decide on kitchen wall color.

try red. the darkones like blood or deep red
Purple, not too dark
It will depend on what style you like and how it would flow with the other areas of the house. You can use grays for the walls except one accent wall maybe and just use a color such as a deep, rich turquoise, red,or a bright light(apple)green for the curtains, backsplash, towels, pics, tableware,& other accessories.I personally would favor the turquoise for a guy or couple. Red, black and white is used so much that it is expected.I would suggest the backsplash be a combo of the gray, black, and white. The “color” can be changed easily if you tire of it, leaving the neutral room as it is.
You have tons of options with your black, white and gray (steel) color scheme. A light shade of sky blue, aqua, celery green would work. Red or cinnamon would too. You don’t mention the color of your counters, though, and that’s another factor you need to weigh.

A goldish, orangish yellow color.
OR
A lavender color
OR
A light calming green color
OR
A sky blue color
You have a pretty easy color scheme to work with so basically any color would look nice but those are my top 4 color choices.
With black and white. Any color. Honestly.your choices are unlimited.
Maybe these sites can give you inspiration:

Some thoughts:
Yellow induces stress and people argue more often in yellow rooms than any other colored room. (”Get it Sold”, HGTV)
Green is restful and time seems to past faster in green rooms.
Tans and beiges are calming.
Peaches, tans, and burnt oranges make for harmonious meals. Great for kitchens.
Blue kills the appetite.fine for a bedroom, but maybe not for a kitchen (”Designed to Sell”, HGTV)
Light colors make a room look larger. Dark colors add drama.
Colors with a gray or tan undertone are more peaceful than colors without any such undertone (HGTV).

Once you pick a color you like this site can help you with accent colors:
http://www.sherwin-williams.com/visualizer/index.html
Click on the “Explore Interior Colors” box (on the left). Then scroll until you find a shade similar to your favorite color pick. Click on that color and the site will offer you 2 accent colors.
Also, Sherwin Williams sells sample sized paints for about $10, so you can test your color choices to see if you like them on your walls without risking a huge investment.
You can use dark red or dark blue type of colors.
They will suit with the black flooring.
Also, you should select colors according to the designs you got on your floor tiles.
how about your favorite color, after all it’s your kitchen.
pick up samples in different shades and test it out.
Normally, kitchens do no have very much wall space on account of the cabinetry and the appliances along with the entry way(s). It is probably the only room in the house where you can get an unusual color combination going without it looking out of place.
With your totally neutral existing elements, you could really go with just about ANY color. But what color. Without knowing what your style is or how the adjoining rooms are decorated, it is really hard for me to pick a color for you. Do you like Retro (red and turquoise) or country (barn red, sunflower yellow, rust) or contemporary (bold orange, royal blue, grey).
However, I can help you pick the color that is right for you. You need some inspiration. I would go to the kitchen section of a store like Macy’s, Home Goods, TJ Max and Marshall’s, Bed Bath and Beyond, Crate and Barrel or William Sonoma. There you can see the current color pallets in kitchenware. Certainly there will be something in one of those stores that you cannot live without, whether it be a dish towel or a bowl. Then, go from there with your color scheme. I always find it easier to find an accessory for inspiration in color, then picking the paint first. This technique will always give you a good sense of decorating direction. You could also get inspired by fabric for your curtain or table linens as there are many colors and pattern combinations to consider.
I realize I did not help you with an actual paint color, but in my business, my suggestions here have never failed my clients.
I hope you end up with what you absolutely love.
I would just keep the walls fresh, crisp white, that way your kitchen will look more open and fresh, you don’t have to paint your walls, if you really want then just do really fresh white or even dark green to even things out yet still keeping everything fresh and organized.
How about doing some monochromatic style in your kitchen design. It is modern and stylish. More like a Japanese type of design. It would be cozy looking with only black and white in it with a touch of silver for your appliances. It would also look classy and neat.
red would make it look contemporary
so would yellow, but in a different way.
orange should be used if you want people to feel hungry.
blue would make the pallet of your room “cool” and would make people feel calm.
green would also be a color to use for a calm feeling, yet it is also contemporary.
using purple would be like using red. it is contemporary, however purple would be more unusual however i love the look of purple with black and white.
You have an absolutely blank slate. Google “virtual paint” sites, and go to one that allows you to view some choices.
I like the Better Homes and Gardens site’s “decorating” page’s virtual paint tool called “color-a-room.” You have to register to use the site, and they’ll send you a ton of e-mails, but it is the most flexible site I’ve ever used. I was just there a bit ago looking at articles about where to “splurge” and where to “save” on current trends. Choose a room that has a similar feel to the one you own, then “paint” the cabinets white, the counter and floor black, and go to town with colors for the walls, ceiling, window treatments, and so on.
If I have no other constraints, I’d be inclined to use a little red; The white, black and red might be quite sophisticated, but don’t over do it, or it’ll look like a Coke commercial. A warm tan with red accents would be nice too.
I’d probably try to tie my color choices in the kitchen to what-ever room is closest - the den or the dining room. Maybe not matchy matchy, but like tones of the same color so that one space flows into the next. For example if you have blue on the walls in the dining area, you could go with a lighter tone of the same blue in the kitchen, or use a darker tone as an accent color with the same color walls. It works no matter what color your adjoining room is now, tan, yellow, green-whatever.
Lime green works great with black and white.
A rich gold color would look good with the white cabinets, black floor & counter tops, and stainless steel. My son has a condo. with these same colors & it looks very rich.
A muted aqua, rich taupe, or muted celery green are also popular colors & would look good with your color scheme.
