I also would love to change to stainless steal appliances, but am afraid it may feel smaller, or just not look ok with the white kitchen. What is your opinion or ideas for my kitchen.

I am wishing to buy a new set of saucepans. I have noticed that a lot of very nice and expensive saucepans have metal handles. See this link for example:
