Well I used to sell Pampered Chef, so I have a lot of useless gadgets. Like you said, onion holder, a scraper that you use to push things off the cutting board, Strawberry Huller, you can easily use a knife, Cherry pitter - and Apple corer, peeler, slicer, for the price who really needs one. Drainer that fits on top of a can for things that need to be drained, such as tuna.

At home we have a meat jaccarder, came across it the other day. Don’t usually buy meat that needs it. At work we have a pizza peel. We do have a pizza oven but it is a conveyor oven, no peel needed.

One time my wife got bread making machine as a gift from her step mom. It looked just like R2D2. We never, ever used it even once, although my stepmother-in-law’s breads and rolls made from just such a machine were delicious. So, R2D2 was relegated to the very back of one of our kitchen cupboards. But whenever the relatives come to visit, we always remind each other to take R2D2 out of his cubby hole and put him on proud display right next to the programmable microwave, where he stares at us reproachfully.

An apple portion thing that’s supposed to cut out the core and slice the apple into wedges, all in one step. It doesn’t.

The plastic knife that keeps shredded/cut lettuce from turning brown. Used it twice.

A small wooden, ridged blob on a stick that’s allegedly to dip honey. Pah, what a joke.

A flat metal paddle with teeth that’s purportedly used to slice tomatoes. A good sharp knife does the job just as well.

A Tupperware Julienne tool. * Sigh *
