yes you can do it yourself.as you already said shut off the main and run your new line and install a shut off valve. use a flex line for gas installations.and be sure to check for any leaks.save yourself 300 bucks.

Nothing you can do your yourself. Fire insurance won’t cover your house or possessions and you could blow up the neighborhood.

Penny smart pound foolish. Gas isn’t something you want to mess with. That isn’t a bad price either.

I paid $175 to get my gas stove hooked up 2 years ago.

It is a simple connection to hook up but check with local and state laws. It might be against the law to do this yourself because of the hazard of leaking gas connections. A licensed professional should do it.

use silicon tape on all the fittings check for leaks with soapy water and a brush gas fittings left to tighten not righty tighty now that will be three hundred pls
