If it were me, I would go for a good quality 15 bar Espresso machine like a De’Longhi, or if you want real quality that comes at a price, then go for a Gaggia. However we brought a Dolce Gusto a couple of months ago and I love it :0) Personally I don’t think the coffee is that great from it really and we have a nespresso for the “I need my coffee” hubby. The hot chocolate is nice, but the Macchiato (spelling sorry) and cappucino is superb. We were in a cafe the other day and I ordered a cappucino and in fact I ended up leaving most of it as I much prefered the one at home. So I would say go to the store which is trialling it and they will usually let you try a cup first (at least here anyway) and see what you think. I love my Dolce Gusto and wouldn’t part with it.
