I doubt you’re going to have much success with the manufacturer, though, because typically large chains buy in such large quantities they get the best prices. Plus, large chains have a distribution network already set up. Even if you found the manufacturer, chances are they aren’t going to give you as good of a price as the store gets, and they’ll probably charge you full retail, instead. Manufacturers don’t like going around their dealers to make sales - if one of their stores gets word of this, they might drop that manufacturer completely.
