They told us to write down a recipe and bring a related kitchen gadget. None of the recipes I use really require kitchen gadgets really. Any ideas.

Take a cheese biscuit recipe and a biscuit cutter or cheese grater.
CHEESE BISCUITS (Recipe courtesy Paula Deen)
2 cups self-rising flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1/3 cup shortening
3/4 cup grated sharp Cheddar
1 cup buttermilk
Salt
1/4 stick butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, to taste, and sugar together using a fork; cut in shortening until it resembles cornmeal. Add cheese. Sir in buttermilk all at one time just until blended. Do not over stir.
Drop by tablespoonfuls, or use an ice cream scoop, onto a well-greased baking sheet. Brush dough with melted butter. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
Other recipes/gadgets to consider:
cookie recipe and cookie cutter
Egg casserole and a whisk
Garlic bread and garlic clove press
Any recipe and a measuring cup or spoon
a vibrater and some gel.
I think a great gift is a round stoneware for pizza. You could even attach a pizza cutter. Then just find a good pizza recipe at http://www.allrecipes.com
Bring something basic, like a spatula or some measureing cups. I’m sure your recipes will use those
Do any of your recipes include chopping. The Pampered Chef has this awesome chopper that my fiance uses ALL the time. He got it as a Christmas present from my aunt one year and it’s easily his favorite kitchen gadget ever:

And at 30 bucks, it’s a good deal. I’m sure you could find a recipe that requires chopping . even for sauce you need to chop onions and garlic up, and this is perfect for that.
Hope that helps.
Give a cookie recipe, and then give a mixing bowl, wooden spoon, and a cookie sheet, If you have the money to do so, maybe a mixer. You could go all out and even give measuring spoons and cups.
How about a mini food processor and a salsa recipe.

You could even put a cute little note: here’s how to keep your marriage “hot.”
Chicken Piccata
Makes: 8 servings Cook: 20 minutes
Prep: 20 minutes
Ingredients
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2-1/2 pounds thin chicken cutlets, about 1/4 inch thick
1 cup all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup dry white wine
2 cups chicken broth
Rind of 1 lemon, sliced into very thin strips
2 tablespoons capers, drained
2 tablespoons chopped flat-leaf parsley
Directions
1. In a small cup, mix the salt and pepper; sprinkle evenly over both sides of chicken cutlets. Dredge the chicken generously in the flour to evenly coat. Gently shake off any excess flour; reserve 2 tablespoons of the flour.
2. In large nonstick skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter over medium-high heat until melted and very hot. Add half the chicken; sauté for 3 minutes per side. Remove and keep warm. Heat remaining oil and butter in skillet; sauté remaining chicken; remove.
3. To the skillet, add the reserved 2 tablespoons flour; cook for 30 seconds. Add the wine; cook, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet, until reduced by at least half, about 30 seconds. Add the chicken broth and strips of lemon rind. Bring to a simmer; cook for about 2 minutes or until the sauce is slightly thickened.
4. Add chicken to sauce. Sprinkle with capers. Bring to a gentle simmer; cover and cook for 5 minutes to heat through.
5. To serve, place chicken on serving platter. Stir chopped parsley into sauce in skillet. Spoon over chicken. Serve with buttered orzo, if desired.
for the gift give her a set of tongs.
I make this for my family and its the best.
i wrote down the number for their local pizza place and gave them paper plates. i don’t cook.
Any recipe and a can-opener.
You have a few options here:
1) Check the registry for kitchen gadgets, then find a recipe to use with it
2) Find your own gadget and recipe online (I can’t really help you there)
3) Pick one of your recipes and give a simpler thing to make/ serve it with (like tongs or spoons)
4) Give whatever else you want- It sounds like a nice idea but if she hasn’t registered for a bunch of gadgets who knows if she really wants or needs them. She may be getting 5 blenders with smoothie recipes when she would never even use one. Besides, I don’t like telling guests what to bring beyond registering. Don’t feel bad for giving something else, any gift should be accepted gratefully.
Every recipe requires some type of kitchen gadget, even if its just mixing bowls, spatulas and measuring cups. Although I’m guessing she might get quite a few of those, so try to be original.
What about a recipe for pasta sauce. All pasta sauce has garlic in it, then you could bring a garlic press. You could bring an electric can opener (to open the canned tomatoes & tomato paste) and a spice rack with spices included.
Maybe a coffee or cappuchino maker, and some packets of tasty macciato mix or something. Or a food processor. There are lots of great hummus or dressing recipes for those. Or a countertop fryer and some fried chicken recipe . I would look on foodnetwork.com or some other recipe site, find a good one that requires a gadget, then go from there.
Go for a more unusual gadget - like a citrus zester (recipe for lemon or orange cookies)
nutmeg grater - recipe for gingerbread, or any cookie with nutmeg
A “Gadget” could be a spoon, mixer, mixing bowl. almost anything.
Sausage balls and a cheese grater would be good.
1 cup consideration
1 cup courtesy
2 cupfuls flattery carefully concealed
1 gallon faith and trust in each other
2 cupfuls praise
1 small pinch of in-laws
1 reasonable budget, a generous dash of cooperation
3 teaspoon pure extract of “I’m sorry”
1 cup contentment
1 cup each confidence and encouragement
1 large or several small hobbies
1 cup blindness to the other’s faults
Flavor with frequent portions of recreation and a dash of happy memories. Stir well and remove any specks of jealousy, temper or criticism. Sweeten well with generous portions of love and keep warm with a steady flame of devotion. Never serve with cold shoulder.
Then give her some nice lingerie & tell her it’s to wear in the kitchen
Get them a book of cocktail recipes (I got that for my sister’s wedding), a nice stainless steal or glass drink shaker and a hand juicer. Maybe a bar accessory pack too, depending on your budget. The bar stuff/shaker will probably cost less than $50 for a really nice set, and I got my sister the “little black book of cocktails” for like $12 at a card store.
Here it is:

I tell you this based on experience, because my fiance and I live together and have tons of kitchen stuff BUT, one night we wanted to make margaritas and realized we didn’t have a juicer for the limes and lemons (like a hand one) so we finally had something to register for. lol. We also only have a crappy plastic drink shaker, so I would appreciate a nice glass one as a wedding gift too.
A Ice cream maker and a recipe on how to make homemade ice cream.
The margarita mixer was a good idea. Margarita glasses with Recipe on how to make margarita.
A blender and recipe for smoothies.
Measuring cups and measuring spoons and recipe for chocolate chip cookies. You can also get the cookie sheets and bag of chocolate chips. That flat spoon to get the cookies is a gadget.Sometimes the recipe is on the back of Nestle chocolate chips.
Muffin tins and recipe for muffins.
I like the Ice cream maker or the cookie sheets idea. Also the margaritas is good. I didn’t get any of those for my shower.I had to buy my own. I still don’t have Ice cream maker or margarita glasses.
GOOD LUCK. Anything you pick is a good idea.
since i love baking i would give a cookie recipe and maybe some fun cookie cutters or cookie presses.
