I just found out my flatmate is over £7000 in debt. I overhead her on the phone to her bank who were threatening to send the repo men around to our flat to claim back items to this amount as she is making no attempt to pay back her debts to the bank. I’m the only other person who lives here. She has no possessions of much value apart from a rubbish 4 year old laptop. I have a new widescreen LCD TV, separates surround sound system and subwoofer, a computer, 2 new laptops, and the appliances in the kitchen are mine. What happens if I answer the door accidentally (I am not in the habit of ignoring the doorbell, why should I be.) and this guy tries to take my stuff. Can I explain that she is the one in debt and just direct him to her room. What if he tries to take my stuff.

If you can show you own the items I’m quite sure they can’t take them. Check our your position with the credit council in you area.
He cannot take your stuff. He would have to have the receipts to prove the items were charged by her. It would help if you still had your receipts. I think you should start looking for a new roommate.
Collect your receipts, credit card bills, etc. That way you can prove it is your stuff. I’d go so far as to put my name address labels on the back or bottom of everything of mine in the place. I’d also make a household inventory, listing my possessions, date of purchase and value, and get photos of them. Always a good thing to do, and wiser still right now.
If repo man comes, let roomate deal with them, don’t let them in if roommate not in.
No, they can only take items which secured the loan in the contract.
Feeling mutual is correct.
