I just remodeled my kitchen and the only thing holding me back is the paint color. I have no idea of what direction to go.
I have honey brown hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, black galaxy granite counter top, and cabinets that are a couple of shades darker than the flooring with stainless steel hardware. No window treatments at this time.I’ll do it after the painting is complete. Thanks for any suggestions.

brown mustard. Matches the discription
a nice sunshiny bright yellow.
I would paint it the lightest shade of blue, like the color you think of when you think of dying Easter eggs and the color doesn’t take very well. I get a hard, contemporary feel with the black granite and stainless steel and this soft color will soften the area and make it feel warm and inviting. Blue is not my color, but in the kitchen you describe, you can’t go wrong with any color, sounds like my dream kitchen.
I did mine in a sage green. I have stainless steel. I also have oak cabinets. The green goes so well with the wood and stainless. You’ll love it. I used Ralph Lauren and the color I took from Home Depot’s Behr color charts. The color is called Promanade. You’ll love it.
Anything bright, a nice warm yellow or red would be great or even a nice bright green.something to give the kitchen a bit of personality. Just keep all of the shades on the warmer end of the spectrum with some notes of black (yes, even bright colors have black in them sometimes, a paint swatch is your best friend for this).
i agree with ali
With the honey brown flooring, black counters, etc. sounds pretty warm, how about a cool color like a robins egg blue or even an aqua.
Maybe a sunny yellow, or something bolder, give it a lil pop.
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the “painted” rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a pale green like “Sprout” (# 6427) would look fantastic in the kitchen.
