I need to start preparing a relative’s home for future sale. It is very early 80s and needs updating with the intention of selling in 3-4 years. Where can I go (website) to find out what decorating trends to expect. While I think it’s safe to stick with white appliances, some features are only available in black or almond and stainless steel just doesn’t work in such a small kitchen. I also don’t want to be replacing relatively new carpeting and flooring.
This is a 2 bedroom split level townhouse.
Also, does anybody know the rough cost of a kitchen designer from say Lowes or Home Depot. Thanks.
The reason for the kitchen designer is that I want to replace the stove with a wall oven and cooktop, plus add a dishwasher that currently does not exist. Can’t figure out a good way to do this in a small L kitchen.

Lowe’s website has some really good virtual decor ideas.and if you plan on reselling.go with neutral colors.fresh paint .ect.colors like beige .sand.rust.ect. are in style.you don’t want to go too far out with decor.most people always re-paint or re-decorate a new house when they buy one anyway.just freshen it up with paint and maybe new lighting fixtures and appliances etc.its only cosmetic so try to keep it subtle.
