In this episode, Chef Gordon Ramsey attempts to correct all the problem in an Indian/America cuisine restaurant called Dillon. From the start, things just seem to go wrong. As Ramsey sits down to try out the food, he is confused by the multiple menus, one serving American food and one serving Indian food. He orders a few vegetarian appetizers and soon discovers that they are no vegetarian. Then what he thinks is beef that he ordered, turns out to be lamb. The kitchen claims that they were all flustered by his pressence. Next he goes in to tour the kitchen, only to find it in total disarray. The Indian chef speaks no English. The store has three managers, all which seem to be no help, especially Martin, the general manager. He can always be found on his phone or sleeping on a bench with a female employee combing her fingers through his hair. That night’s dinner service is total chaos with people having to wait a long time for their food. The next day, Ramsay tours more of the restaurant and finds the downstairs room that is full of cockroaches, rotten food, rats, and flies. He is horrified by what he has seem and takes it out on Martin because he should know about all the rotten food and take care of it. After seeing this, he immediately closes down the kitchen and potential saving the lives of the dinner that are in the restaurant. He is also extremely upset that he was served that food yesterday, especially the bag of lettuce that had flies in it that he ate for lunch. Ramsay takes the staff to his restaurant to show them what a kitchen should look like. Ramsay then brings in a team of professionals to complete steam clean the whole restaurant and then he completely redesigns the dining room. The staff returns the next day to a new menu created with the help of the top Indian Cuisine chef in New York, and a whole new look the the dining room. Problems soon arise during the dinner service because they aren’t used to being busy. Food takes a long time to be prepared and then goes out cold. Ramsay is confused as to what all of the managers are there for, because no one is helping. Finally the floor manager steps in, mainly because of Ramsay telling him that it is his time to shine, and saves the rest of the dinner shift. The staff is elated at how much money they made finally. At the end of the week, Gordon sits the owner of the restaurant down and tells him that he needs to get rid of Martin, the general manager, because he is just taking up space and not helping at all. Martin over hears this and loses his cool. Ramsay is finally glad to see that he cares about something. Martin ends up quitting and the owner ends up hiring the Indian chef that was helping out for the week.

gordon ramsey if he was not there they would still b serving all that discusting food
Martin lost the case and we are glad he did, his cell phone, least interested in working, pathetic attitude was killing me. I was truly shocked that they let those burgers sit in the lowboy when Gordon was coming with the crew. Martin is right that it was all STAGED, by the team to managers to insult the restaurant not by Gordon. Martin is a total SHAME to any human race to ride on someone’s money like this. Anyway lost my appetite when watched those bugs, but was hungry again when saw Chef Vikas Khanna take charge of everything. Last word.Loved the show
Gordon for bringing Kitchen Nightmares in the first place to Dillons
Martin Hyde for leaving
Vikas Khanna for making all the changes
Is it saved. I read that it hasn’t been doing well.
My impression, especially because one of the waitresses stuck up for him, is that Martin was made a scapegoat. I thought he was the manager for the cabaret/party side of the business.not for the restaurant. He seemed lazy (cell phone addictions are a pet peeve of mine), but the owner and all the managers and cooks should have known the condition of the kitchen and the basement.
Either way, the new chef is adorable and calm and seems in control. I’m not sure I can eat there though.no matter how clean they made it now.
Gordon saved it.
According to ZAGAT survey Vikas saved it
I have a reservation for Dillons - Purnima for tmrw.will see
Ramsey put Vikas in charge, so it was Vikas who worked to set things straight at Dillons
Martin Hyde did every thing to ruin Dillons.Gordon and Vikas together saved it
“Award Winning Cuisine of Chef Vikas Khanna served at Dillons Lounge”. need to say more
After all the ego battles etc for an hour. Gordon Ramsay turns around dillons along with Vikas Khanna.
This was my favorite episode ever, Gordon brought in that cute shy sexy chef Vikas, I vote for Gordon for bringing in Vikas
Ramsay asked Mohammed to hire Vikas and get rid of Martin, definitely he too believed that only Vikas could save the place
“Here, Ramsay hands Purnima an already successful Indian chef—Vikas Khanna—to design a new menu and take control of the kitchen. Then he rushes out the door, muttering, “My job is done here,” when he really didn’t do anything but yell for an hour.
The yelling is still fun, though. The yelling is still fun.”
the episode was gross till Gordon started introducing the scallops and the Kerela Fisherman’s curry. I think togetherGordon and Vikas Khanna make a good team
the episode was too disgustingly great
I loved the perfectly sculpted Indian chef;)
Gordon Ramsay really worked wonders for the restaurant, not only did he clean up the place, he gave it a new name and a new chef, He gets credit for the makeover
Restaurants cannot be saved in a one week makeover, they require time, need to be nurtured like a child and that is something only the consultant chef Vikas Khanna did. He agreed to stay over after Gordon Ramsey is gone(quote in Zagat says Dillons has not seen hair nor hyde of Gordon after the one week of the makeover)
The answer is obvious - Vikas who stuck by his commitment to help Dillons “to any limit”
I think Martin Hyde saved the restaurant by calling in Gordon to fix it. and look what happened to him
I mean, whats the confusion, Gordon and Vikas saved it obviously
Ok to sum up
Martin called Gordon
Gordon called Vikas
Vikas saved Dillons
I think Martin saved Dillons by quitting
Phenomenol find - Vikas Khanna
An exceptionally proficient chef to a rare philanthropist Indian Chef Vikas Khanna .a true Gordon Ramsey find, Gordon did, yet once again
Gordon saved it by bringing in the perfectly sculpted indian chef Vikas Khanna
