The Luxury Of Dishwasher Cleaning
A dishwasher is one of the greatest luxuries man has ever devised. No longer do any of us have to suffer from dish pan
hands. With our modern fast paced lives they are almost a necessity since no one is home during the day. Dishwasher
cleaning shouldn’t be a luxury. It should be a necessity.
Suddenly entertaining doesn’t’ seem as big of a challenge. Now all you need to do is scrape plates and load glasses, plates,
and pots into the dishwasher. Turn it on and go visit with your guests while your dishwasher does the rest. Heck leave it
and turn it on before you go to bed. You’ll awake to clean dishes that just need to be put away.
And think of all the other benefits like what a great place to hide dirty dishes before you start the dishwasher. It keeps
your kitchen looking neat and tidy. An automatic dishwasher also provides a must more sanitized clean than hand washing and
believe it or not they use a fraction of the water.
Have you ever thought about what the job description of an automatic dishwasher would be? It would read something like this.
You are responsible to agitate hot water that dissolves the cleaning detergent and provides a continuous flushing of the
dishwasher content removing food particles, stains, and providing a clean sanitized product.
The dishwasher is really a brilliant irrigation system that is confined to a closed element. The spray source whether single
or multiple are responsible for providing the water under enough pressure to clean the dishes. That pressure spays against
the dishes pushing away food debris and grease into the trap that’s provided. This means it is pulled completely away from
the dishes.
The dishwater is all about the water. For it must be hot enough to dissolve the detergent so that it can interact with the
load. It must provide the appropriate pressure, and it must provide the correct temperature to ensure germs are killed.
You should always use the hottest water possible. This sanitizes the dishes. 130 F or 54.4 C is a good temperature. Hot
water also helps remove grease. It generally takes a few cycles to wash effectively and on average it takes about 10 gallons
of water per cycle.
If you have hard water it is hard to get good suds from your soap and it tends to cause spots and film on your glassware. If
you are on well water you might want to consider a filter system.
When you are choosing your detergent make sure it’s a detergent for an automatic dishwasher. If you have too much foam means
the dishes don’t get sprayed properly with water. This means food doesn’t get dislodged, dried on food won’t be removed, and
grease won’t be lifted. So you see why the detergent is important.
Dishwasher cleaning shouldn’t be a luxury but rather a necessity in the modern day home. And with dishwashers available in a
variety of sizes from table top to full size there is no reason why you can’t have it all!
